NVG's new accommodation Reviews - a resounding success

On 1st November 2011 NVG released the first part of our latest development, accommodation Reviews for bookings.

Accommodation reviews allows visitors to review their stay. A customer receives an email four days after check out with a link allowing them to rate factors of their stay, such as cleanliness and service, as well as the option to provide feedback about the accommodation and rate their overall stay.
As you may be aware internet sites have been under scrutiny recently with regards to the honesty and quality of the reviews provided. Furthermore, it has been reported that some holiday makers have been blackmailing businesses with the threat of bad reviews unless they receive a discount. Many property owners claim TripAdvisor's model is unfair and allows anonymous reviews, often without supporting evidence.

NVG's new accommodation Reviews have been a resounding success with over 1000 responses so far, with over 80% awarding an overall rating of 4*. The system combats many providers concerns as only holiday makers who have stayed can review and all responses are moderated in house with accommodation providers welcomed to reply and or comment if they believe a review to be unfair.
Reviews can be viewed within Guestlink and can either be accepted or passed to an administrator if a provider deems them to be inappropriate - however, the accommodation provider can disagree and publish a review. The Accommodation Reviews feature is not compulsory to providers; they have the ability to opt out of the reviews process.
The facility of reviews is invaluable to providers and destination alike, and NVG's accommodation Reviews closed reviews functionality is both honest and fair, and a real must for any destination website.
