eCommerce is at the heart of our tourism technology, with over £6.5 million of accommodation bookings and eShop orders processed in the last 12 months.
Bookability is an essential element of any website advertising accommodation. Sophisticated search and display ordering options fully integrated with our Guestlink Property Management System encourage accommodation providers to engage with your website.
Our state-of-the-art eCommerce engine delivers powerful and effective bookability for destinations and providers. Accommodation availability (indicative or allocated) is supplied by providers using the Guestlink booking engine which provides unrivalled, custom pricing formats for all property types including serviced accommodation, self caterers, campsites and youth hostels. The product supports the set up of different tariffs based on seasonality and occupancy as well as the publication of special offers and automated discounting. Bookability can also be facilitated for content pulled in from external channels such as Laterooms and Booking.com.
Publishing of bookability is driven on destination websites by NVG’s trademark ‘quick browse’ grid and easy check-out system. The grid is fully customisable and displays the type of availability, rates, units, unit information and pricing variations. Transactions are managed via a single booking form which includes all associated terms and conditions, security data and customer requirements. Overall, the approach essentially enables the user to search, identify and book products within 3 simple steps.

The fully integrated eShop enables the customer to make a single secure payment for a completely flexible range of accommodation, merchandise and tickets from a wide range of tourism businesses utilising an online basket.
All kinds of saleable items can be sold using the eShop, such as guides, tickets and merchandise. Fulfilment of different items can be by individual businesses or by a central office such as a TIC, or a combination of these. Commission can be charged flexibly for each product, as either a percentage of the sale value or a flat fee. Tourism businesses can also choose to upgrade to also sell products through an eShop on their own website.
You have full control of the sections your eShop is divided into, the order in which they appear, and the products that appear in each.
Delivery schemes can be set up for each fulfiller for orders being sent to different postal zones, and can be based on order weight or value. Many extra features are also available, including options to increase postage for fragile or delicate items, waive postage for eTickets, or set items for collection.
